A New Addition to Beautiful Nelson Ledges
THE FALLS EDGE GLASS WALKWAY AT NELSON-KENNEDY STATE PARK
See The Glass Walkway
If you are a frequent visitor or have never been there, this is an exciting time to go to Nelson Ledges!
This is a short trip down Route 422 just 10 miles west of Leavittsburg. Turn left onto OH route 282. The trip from Leavittsburg does not take long.
If you park at the main lot, cross the road to the stairs and follow the white trail. (The trees are marked with a white stripe.)
The glass walkway gives breath-taking views of the Narrows, Devil’s Ice Box, and Gold Hunters Cave. The walkway is 137 feet long, stretching over Sylvan Creek Gorge, 50 feet below. The trail ends near Minnehaha Falls.
Take time to explore the landscape. We had family picnics there and our youth group explored the caverns and crevices. We never lost anyone, but it is a good idea to have a buddy with you!
